Mini Weather Station using WiFly + Cosm

 

What do you need for this project:

 

Hardware

1) Arduino Board (MyDuino)

2) WiFly Module (RN-XV WiFly)(Cytron)

3) Ambient Light Sensor (TEMT6000)(MyDuino)

4) Temperature and Humidity Sensor (SHT1x)(MyDuino) – * Library

* To use with Arduino 1.0+ please rename from Wprogram.h to Arduino.h at file SHT1x.cpp and SHT1x.c

5) Buzzer – To Acknowledge if watchdog is trigger! (E-Shore)

 

Software

1) Arduino Software (http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/software)

2) Libraries:

a) Cosm – Here

b) WiFly Shield – Here

c) NewSoftSerial, Streaming and PString – Here

d) Time – Here

 

Important note regarding this project:

1) You need cosm account (https://cosm.com)

2) Need *watchdog – To avoid the MWS and Cosm frozen!

* If anybody have some intelligent way, please share with us.

3) Make sure the *char passphrase[] in HEX format – Link for Conversion

* Normally our password in ASCII format, so we need to convert to HEX, if fail to do this, the WiFly will hang at ‘WiFly.join(ssid, passphrase, mode)’

4) If the system not working, try to reset the arduino board OR remove power supply, then put back OR you need to restart your modem. 😉
